Where women’s Stories Are Remembered, Shared, and Woven Together
Recollections Within is a storytelling community where women connect through personal stories — for healing, reflection, and belonging.
You carry stories with you — ones that shaped you, stirred you, devastated, or inspired you. At Recollections Within, we believe those stories matter. This is a place to honour them.

Why I Built Recollections Within
Hi, I’m Linda. I’m so excited that you’re here.
All my life, I’ve remembered people through their stories. Even as a little girl, I’d hold onto the small things others told me: a stranger’s grief in a checkout line, a friend’s quiet joy, a fleeting confession shared during an evening shift at work. I might not remember their name, but I remember the feeling behind their words. Their stories stayed with me, shaping who I am.
I built Recollections Within as a space to honour that kind of memory. A space where women’s stories, however quietly spoken, don’t disappear.
I felt invisible for two decades of my life, and I want to spend the rest of my life helping other women be seen.
A Home Between Worlds
I’m a Canadian living in the States, which means you might spot a few ‘superfluous u’s’ in my writing, even though I run an American business. That blending of identity, a little of this and a little of that, shows up in everything I do. I know what it means to carry more than one truth at a time, and to make a home between worlds.
Lessons From the Garden
In 2024, I became a Master Gardener. I’ve spent many years learning how to tend to seeds I couldn’t see yet, how to be patient when nothing seemed to be growing. That work shaped me, too. It taught me how healing takes time, and that stories, like gardens, need gentleness, care, and the right conditions to thrive.
Seeds Planted by Love: My Inspirations
Two women helped plant the seed for this space: my mum and my mother-in-law. Both are gone now, but their legacies and the stories they shared with me remain a constant thread in my life. I carry these two women, along with so many other incredible women, with me into every part of this work.
From my Heart to Yours

My Philosophy
I’m not a therapist or someone with all the answers. I am simply someone who listens to truly understand — and always has. Life has taught me to witness without judgment, to notice the subtle truths, and to hold space for every story. Recollections Within was built from that quiet, enduring strength, believing in the profound power of being heard, together.
About Linda
A Life Rooted in Story, Soil, and Soul-Work

Rooted in Growth
I’m a lifelong learner with a deep curiosity about how things grow—ideas, communities, gardens, and people. I earned a Certificate in Editing from UNM in 2023, and completed Master Gardener training in 2024, gaining both practical skills and a broader sense of service. Alongside formal learning, I’ve pursued my own path: studying digital communication, managing outreach calendars, and developing a full social media plan for a volunteer organization. Every bit of that work has helped shape Recollections Within—a project rooted in care, intention, and the belief that growth and connection go hand in hand.

Born of the West Coast
Cradled by moss and tide, I grew up where the rainforest meets the Pacific. Vancouver Island is a place where ancient trees remember, legends drift through the mist, and beauty lingers everywhere your eyes land. Elemental, lush, unforgettable—it lives in every cell of my body. It taught me to pay attention: to stillness, to seasons, to stories that root and endure. Though I now live in the high desert, I will remain forever anchored by the ocean.

A Long Journey in Motherhood
I have spent nearly three decades parenting through love, loss, and my own mistakes. This profound and complex journey has been my deepest lesson in humility and empathy. It has shaped my ability to hold space for every truth, especially the difficult ones, with understanding and deep respect for individual realities. I’ve raised children with unique needs and deep hearts, and I’ve come to know the quiet courage—and the real cost—of changing your life when it asks everything of you. Motherhood continues to teach me about lasting connection, grace in uncertainty, and the ongoing work of healing and growth.
Still mothering—always.
