At Recollections Within LLC, we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect contributors and users to do the same. This Copyright & DMCA Policy explains our procedures for responding to alleged copyright infringement on the Site, including claims relating to user submissions to The Quilt and other content made available through the Service.
Pursuant to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), Title 17, United States Code, Section 512, a copyright owner or an authorized agent may submit a takedown notice to our designated DMCA agent as described below.
1. Notice of Claimed Infringement
If you believe that material available on the Site infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notification to our designated DMCA agent. To help us review your claim promptly, your notice should include:
- your physical or electronic signature, or the signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;
- a description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved;
- a description of the material you believe is infringing, including the specific URL or other information that allows us to locate it on the Site;
- your contact information, including your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number;
- a statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that, under penalty of perjury, you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

3. Counter-Notification
If you believe that material you submitted to the Site was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send us a written counter-notification. To help us review it, your counter-notification should include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before it was removed or disabled;
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number; and
- a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original infringement claim or that person’s agent.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy
We take copyright infringement seriously. Where appropriate, Recollections Within LLC may remove content, limit access to content, reject future submissions, or take other action in response to repeated or serious copyright complaints.
5. Modifications to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Copyright & DMCA Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
